Mrs. Georgia Christina Giovani has over 30 years of experience in senior leadership roles in corporate and public development banking, risk management, corporate governance and strategic advisory.
She began her career in 1994 at Interbank and subsequently held positions at American Express Bank and ABN AMRO, focusing on relationship banking, credit risk assessment, structured finance and corporate financing and restructuring. She later served as Senior Financial Advisor to the Municipality of Athens and the Ministry of Finance, gaining further experience in public debt and public sector administration.
As Managing Director of DEPFA Bank and Managing Partner of KBR Corporate Finance GmbH, she led the establishment and development of their operations in Greece. From 2019 to 2023, she served as Executive Alternate Chair of the Consignment Deposits and Loans Fund, and during 2024 to 2025, as Chair of the Board of ADMIE Holding S.A.
She currently provides independent strategic advisory services to private and public sector organizations, focusing on corporate governance, risk management, strategic transformation and access to long-term financing.
She holds the International Directors Programme certification (INSEAD) and the European Board Diploma (ecoDa), as well as an MBA from New Hampshire College, a BSc in Business Administration from the American College of Greece, and a Graduate Certificate in Administration & Management from Harvard University Extension School. She is actively involved in international corporate governance organizations. She serves as Vice Chair of the Non-Executive Directors' Club (NED Club) and as Greece Ambassador to the International Directors Network (IDN) of INSEAD.
