ANASTASIA PETSINARI

Mrs Anastasia Petsinari is the Head of Legal & Corporate Governance as well as Corporate Secretary at Optima bank.

She has over 20 years of substantial professional experience in banking sector, enjoying a number of senior legal positions and providing legal services at various domestic and foreign financial institutions. As of 2003 Anastasia Petsinari worked as an in-house legal counsel holding roles in various financial institutions, including, Head of legal department at Omega Bank (2003-2006), Head of legal department at Proton Bank (2006-2011) and Director of Legal Division at New Proton Bank (2011-2013).

During the period of 2013-2014 she has been employed at Eurobank as a Deputy Legal Director of Legal Services Division where she was tasked with heading of legal support to Retail Banking business. In 2014 Anastasia was recruited at Alpha Bank, where she was appointed at first as a Deputy Director and then as a Legal Director of Legal Services Senior Division. Over her five-year tenure in Alpha Bank (2014-2019), she took charge, organized and managed a team of legal professionals providing the most business-enabling solutions in response to legal challenges in all aspects of banking business including retail, wholesale, corporate, investment, private and digital banking, as well as compliance, legal and regulatory issues. Mrs Anastasia Petsinari has also provided legal services as Of Counsel in various large scale construction projects and investments and she is legal expert in information technologies.

Mrs Anastasia Petsinari is highly experienced in formulating organizational and business level strategies in alignment with corporate governance best practices, she has in-depth knowledge of the Greek and European banking legislation, first-hand experience of Greek banks operations and understanding of both the legal and business banking particularities

Mrs Anastasia Petsinari obtained her law degree (1995) and an LL.M in banking, finance and securities (1999) from the Faculty of Law, Economic and Political Sciences of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki as well as an LL.M in International Law & Practice in Commerce and Foreign Investments from Athens Panteion University of Social & Political Sciences (2001).  She also holds an MBA from the National Technical University of Athens and Athens University of Economic & Business (2004). Mrs Anastasia Petsinari is trained and certified in Negotiations and Dispute Resolution, at Harvard Law School, Program on Negotiations and she is also Accredited Mediator by Hellenic Ministry of Justice.
